It sounds like snow and possibly ice are coming. Please be sure to check the news on Sunday night or Monday morning to see if schools will be open. I will be checking the condition of the school on Sunday and Mr. Jones, our head custodian will be checking it on Monday to make sure that all is well.
Wednesday, February 3 is one of our six early release days for staff development. All students will be dismissed at 1:15 so that the staff can meet and engage in professional development sessions. Our staff is working in cohort groups on reading instruction, differentiation in the classroom, and building classroom community.
On Thursday, February 4 we will be holding Kindergarten registration from 8:30-3:30. If you have a child who will turn 5 on or before August 31, 2010, please come out to register him or her for kindergarten.
We will be holding our first semester Soaring Eagle ceremony on Friday, February 5 for students who have had exemplary attendance during the first semester. A letter about your child’s attendance is coming home today, along with report cards.
That’s all for now. Think snow and thanks for listening!
